Propagation is a series of paintings on canvas I made during this COVID-19 period.

The first series is entirely painted with water on a photographic emulsion, composed of potassium ferricyanide and ammonium ferric citrate. The emulsion is still “trapped” on the canvas, making them “living” paintings that may evolve over time. The size of each painting is 60×85 cm.

In the second series, black acrylic paint and plaster were used. The plaster is fixed on the surface of the canvas, in a meticulous balance between fragility and sturdiness. The size of each painting is 50×70 cm.
